1. Project Assistant Level-II (03 Positions)
Essential Qualification: 1st Class M.Sc in any area of Modern
Biology / Life Sciences / Chemistry /Biotechnology /Biochemistry / Biophysics / Microbiology / Molecular Biology with at least one year experience.
Desirable: Practical research experience in the areas mentioned above.
Stipend: Rs.8000/-& 10,000/- (fixed) per month for DBT / Networked Projects respectively.

2. Project Assistant Level-II (03 Positions)
Essential Qualification: 1st Class MCA or 1st Class B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science or Computer related field Or 1st Class M.Sc in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences Or 1st Class M.Sc (Computer Science).
Desirable: Working knowledge of computers, good programming skills and knowledge of Modern
Biology / Bioinformatics. The candidate having degree or diploma in Bioinformatics will be
preferred.

Stipend: Rs.8000/-& 10,000/- (fixed) per month forDBT /Networked Projects respectively.

3. Project Assistant Level-I (03 Positions)
Essential Qualification: 1st Class BCA OR three years diploma
with 1st division in Office management / Modern Office Practices or Computers.
Stipend: Rs.7000/- (fixed) per month
Desirable: Working knowledge of computers.

4. Studentship/Trainee (01 Positions)
Essential Qualification: 1st Class BCA OR three years diploma
with 1st division in Computers.
Desirable: Working knowledge of computers.

1. Research Scientist II (Two)

Qualification: Ph.D. in Chemistry/Botany/Pharmacy; 3 years

experience in handling work relatingto natural products/ medicinal plants

Desirable: (i) Experience in scientific writing, preparation of monographs etc. (ii) Working ondatabases (iii) Working knowledge of computers

Age: Below 45 yearsSalary Rs. 19,700/ - pm (fixed)+HRA

Job Requirement: To assist in evaluation, scrutiny, finalization of monographs and co-ordination of the programmeand other related activities.

2. Research Associates (Four)

Qualifications:

(Position 1): M.D. in Ayurveda

(Position 2): M.D. / Ph.D. in Pharmacology

(Position 3&4): Ph.D./Chemistry/Botany/Pharmaceutical Sciences

Desirable:

(i) Experience in working on medicinal plants/natural products

(ii) Experience in literature search by digital and traditional sources in the field of medicinal plants

(iii) Flair for scientific writing, preparation of reviews, reports,monographs

(iv) Working knowledge in computers

Age: Below 40 yearsSalary Rs. 17,000/- pm (fixed) + HRA

Job Requirements:

Literature search relating to medicinal plants / products, compilation of information,preparation/scrutiny of reviews/monographs etc. and other related work.

3. Senior Research Fellows: (Four)

Qualifications: MSc. (Botany / Chemistry / Medicinal Plants / Pharmacology) with 2 years experience-or M. Pharma.

Desirable :

(i) Experience in literature search, retrieval, scientific writing, dissemination ofinformation relating to medicinal plants

4. Scientific Documentation Assistant: (One)

Qualifications: MSc. in Biological sciences / Chemistry with Associateship (INSDOC / DRTC) / degreein library and Information Sciences.

Desirable:

(i)Diploma / Degree in Computer Application

Job Requirement: To assist in work relating to Review Monographs on Indian medicinal plants (The work may involveevaluation, documentation, scrutiny of monographs, preparation of indices / appendices,computerization of data, literature search, programming etc).

6. Data Entry Assistants: (Four)

Qualifications: Graduate with 2 years relevant experience.

Desirable:

(i) Diploma Certificate in computer applications from a reputed institution

(ii) Sciencegraduates or Experience of working in scientific institution or scientific information.Age Below 28 yearsSalary Rs. 8,865/- pm (fixed).

Job requirements: Computerization of information on medicinal plants, preparation of presentations etc.

General information / instructions:

The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The maximum duration of theproject is upto 31-03-10. The appointment, are terminable with one-month notice from either side.The selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment under ICMR. Benefits ofProvident Fund, CCA, Leave Travel Concession etc. are not admissible. No TA/DA will be paid forattending interview, joining or termination of the services. Age upper limit is as on the date ofinterview. Age relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC as per rules.
